the ISO 14001:2004 standard and we believe that Environmental
Protection is a key responsibility through-out all of our operations.
Environmental Policy
We are happy to provide detailed information about our Environmental
systems as part of our tender process. If you would like further
information, please contact us using the methods detailed in the
"Information" section of this website.
The Environmental Management System
M&R Facilities Management has implemented an Environmental Management
System (EMS) based on the ISO 14001:2004 standard as a way of
demonstrating environmental leadership, commitment to continual
improvement and environmental responsibility to all.
The basic structure of our EMS, as defined by the ISO 14001 standard,
includes a commitment to continual improvement. Within this structure,
there are five primary components:
- Commitment and Environmental Policy
- Planning
- Implementation and Operation
- Checking and Corrective Action
- Management Review
These components are all interrelated to produce a framework for managing
and continually improving our environmental performance. The five components
of the EMS are further subdivided into elements, this diagram shows how
M&R Facilities Management’s EMS is structured and how these elements
are interrelated
Training
We believe that an effective Environmental Management System cannot
exist in isolation to the organisation it effects. Environmental management
is ultimately dependent on the actions of our employees and without their
commitment to and acceptance of our EMS, we cannot commit to providing
environmentally sound services and products.
To demonstrate our in-house training development and the quality of our training,
we have published a copy of our training course ‘EMS01 Environmental Awareness’
here.
